Artificial intelligence is exploding into every corner of business, but most organizations are still treating AI risk like a side quest instead of part of core governance. Under GOVERN, leadership would define who owns AI risk, what kinds of customer data may feed the model, and what oversight and escalation paths exist. Under MAP, the team would document the assistant’s purpose, who will use it, what data it sees, plausible harms (privacy breaches, harmful advice, biased responses), and the stakeholders affected. Under MEASURE, they would design tests and metrics — accuracy on representative queries, hallucination rates, security testing for prompt injection, fairness checks where applicable, and monitoring for drift.
